Girl in trendy snowboarding outfit on the mountains enjoying the winter day

Now that the holidays have passed, embrace the winter season and ward off seasonal depression. The skiing and snowboarding season has arrived! While hitting the slopes and engaging in winter activities for the first time might seem daunting, it's an opportunity to fully enjoy this time of year. Staying warm and safe is crucial while having fun, so here's my skiing and snow boarding outfit guide to ensure you look amazing if this is your first snow shredding adventure. Lodge life fashion on the slopes is definitely a must, especially during Après!

Ski and snowboard goggles are an essential for every shredder. They not only offer a unique way to showcase your style but also protect your eyes during brisk rides up and down the mountain. My top choice for snow goggles is SMITH, as they guarantee anti-fog performance and feature interchangeable straps that let you express your personal style with exclusive SMITH designs. Additionally, I appreciate their wide selection of snow goggle lenses.

I personally own the SMITH Vogue Goggles in White RC36

A few other great brands are Giro

As well as Oakley

Another Ski and snowboarding outfit guide neccessity is a good pair of snow gloves. Not only does it keep you warm all day, but will help protect from falls and tumbles. Many of these gloves provide plush lined balance heat transfer and moisture management for the snowy conditions as well. My personal favorite brand is Seirus.

Another snow glove brand that you will see sported by many fellow shredders is Spyder.

When it comes to gearing up for your ski and snow boarding adventures, the under garments you choose to wear under your snow suit are absolutely key for keeping cozy and comfortable. The right base layers can totally transform your experience, whether you’re hitting the slopes for some skiing, shredding on a snowboard, or trekking through the snow on snowshoes. These pieces are designed to trap heat and wick away moisture, helping you stay at the right temperature no matter how active you are.

Opting for materials like merino wool or synthetic blends is a smart move since they provide warmth, breathability, and great moisture control. So, take a little time to pick out the perfect under garments, and you’ll not only stay warm and dry but also enjoy your winter sports to the fullest while staying safe out there!

My personal favorite for ski and snowboarding is Under Armor Women's HeatGear Armour High No-Slip Waistband Pocketed Leggings. Their heat gear material makes it super light weight, flexible and its material wicks sweat and dries very quickly.

For undergarment tops I would also recommend Under Armour Women's Heatgear Long-sleeve T-Shirt

For fleece top options I would recommend The NORTH FACE Glacier Fleece Pullover Hoodie

Personally, I prefer fleece hoodies with neck covering as displayed above. The additional layer of warmth will keep you toasty during your ski resort filled day of skiing, snow boarding or fun Après.

Winter snow pants are crucial for remaining dry and warm as you take in the stunning mountain scenery and glide down the slopes. These water resistant snow pants are constructed with the design to repel water and snow.

THE NORTH FACE Women's Freedom Insulated Pant

These snow pants will fit snugly over your snow boots and has the HeatSeeker Eco insulation to go with the waterproof.

Now, this is what I would call the ski and snow boarding outfit essentials for a fun winter day up in the mountains. Many ski resorts provide board rentals, ski rentals, as well as boot rentals. If this is your first time shredding the slopes, don't worry they also provide lessons for all ages. So pack your bags and beat seasonal depression shredding the slopes or enjoying a festive day filled with Après.
