Cranberry Orange Sauce Recipe
Prep: 5 Minutues Cook: 15 Minutes Total= 20 Minutes
Yield: 3 Cups
Ingredients
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tablespoons orange zest
1/2 cup sugar (brown sugar may also be used, can add more based on preference)
1 (12 ounce) bag fresh cranberries
(Optional: cinnamon, cinnamon sticks, vanilla extract or ginger may also be added for more holiday flavor)

Instructions:
Combine water, fresh squeezed orange juice, orange zest, sugar in a medium saucepan. Place over medium heat and stir occasionally until the sugar fully dissolves, about 3-5 minutes.
Add fresh cranberries to the pan and increase heat to bring the mixture to a boil. Lower the heat and let the cranberry orange sauce simmer for 15 minutes until thickened and cranberries have burst. (The sauce will coat the back of the spoon when ready.)

For presentation, garnish with orange slices or rosemary for a festive display. Serve with Turkey or a Thanksgiving side. Save any cranberry orange sauce leftovers for overnight oats, toast, or yogurt.
